We offer a Christmas pre-order option starting about two months before the holiday season. This allows you to secure your order ahead of the holiday rush. Pre-ordered kits will be delivered in mid-December, ensuring they arrive at the perfect time for gifting.
Since our mushroom grow kits contain living mycelium with a limited shelf life, pre-ordering ensures they stay fresh by eliminating the need for long-term storage. Gift recipients can start their kits anytime through mid-January, giving them plenty of flexibility.
Taking our mushroom growing kits abroad is usually not a problem, and many customers have done so without issues. However, we recommend checking the import regulations of your destination country to ensure compliance.
We generally advise that our kits are started within 2 weeks of arrival for best results. However, we understand that sometimes life gets in the way! If you’d like to delay starting your kit, you can keep it somewhere cool, dark and away from sources of heat or refrigerate it for up to 1 month. IMPORTANT!: Pink oyster, Golden Oyster, and Blood Reishi cannot be stored in the fridge as they are tropical species and cannot withstand temperatures below 10°C. Christmas pre-orders and any kits bought in December are specially made to be started no later than mid-January.
We ship all orders using Royal Mail. Here’s how our shipping options work:
Standard Shipping: Delivery typically takes 2–4 business days.
Next Day Shipping: Orders placed Monday to Friday before 12 PM will arrive the next day (including Saturday). Orders placed after 12 PM will be shipped the following day, which may result in a slightly longer delivery time.
Weekend Orders:
Orders placed between Friday after 12 PM or on the weekend will be shipped on Monday.
Important Notes:
While Royal Mail aims to deliver tracked 24-hour packages within one working day, this is not guaranteed. Delivery times are generally reliable, but during busy periods (e.g., Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas), occasional delays may occur. Please keep this in mind when placing your order.
If you need your order by a specific date, let us know in the special shipping instructions, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.

We do not include an invoice in any of our shipments. Your order receipt will be sent directly to you via email, so your gift recipient will not see any details about payment (including who the gift is from)! If you'd like to include a note with the package you can purchase one of our personalised greetings cards, or gift wrap which includes a personalised gift tag. Please note that because we do not include invoices in our shipments, anything written in the 'Shipping Notes' section will not be included in the order.
