Mushroom Music 19 April 2024

Fat Fox Mushrooms was proud to be part of Mushroom Music at EartH London on April 19th 2024, a unique event blending live biosonification music, fungi-inspired talks, and panel discussions. The evening marked the launch of A State Of Flo Records l in partnership with Brian Eno’s EarthPercent, with 10% of ticket sales supporting environmental charities.

Our mushrooms took center stage in the live biosonification performances, where Brian d’Souza (Auntie Flo) and Natural Symphony transformed the subtle electrical signals from our fungi into immersive, otherworldly soundscapes. The music, presented on EartH’s 360º L-Acoustics surround sound system, created a three-dimensional mycelial sonic network, offering the audience a chance to experience the hidden rhythms of fungi.

The event also featured panels, including “The Enduring Influence of Fungi,” where Lex from Fat Fox Mushrooms joined musician Brian d’Souza photographer Max Mudie and artist Jana Nicole, hosted by Sophie Shnapp. Together, we explored the cultural, ecological, and artistic impact of fungi, highlighting their growing influence in science, art, and sustainability.
