Why grow Lion’s Mane:

Lion's mane mushrooms are delicately flavourful, simple to grow, and great for brain health!

Hericium erinacious is a rare and highly sought-after edible mushroom. It grows wild across old-growth forests in North America, Europe and Asia and prefers temperatures between 16 and 25 degrees.

Our ready-to-grow kits include detailed instructions and a humidity tent for hassle-free growth. This beautiful mushroom expands to form a white, fluffy ball and later develops the hanging tendrils that give it the fitting common name ‘the lion's mane mushroom’. The strain that we use in our kits has been carefully isolated from nature and produces large mushrooms with firm creamy flesh.

Cooking Tips: The outside of this mushroom has a texture similar to delicate, stringy crab meat and makes a great vegan seafood substitute. Its solid centre is delicious sliced and pan-fried in butter, with salt and garlic, for a culinary experience reminiscent of succulent, fatty lamb cutlets!
