Grow two striking reishi species side by side with our Reishi Skull Mates. A unique, slightly spooky Valentine’s gift for someone who'd appreciate something a little different. Keep one for yourself and give one to someone special - because nothing says romance like growing skull mushrooms side by side and arguing over which one’s cuter!
- Red Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum - UK-Native strain): Renowned for its smooth, glossy surface and glossy red hue. Its lacquered finish make it a stunning centerpiece for displays or nature-inspired decor.
- Antler Reishi (Ganoderma multipileum), also known as Antler Reishi, is native to tropical regions across Asia. It produces a dense mass of orange-red antler-shaped fruiting bodies over many months.
Reishi has the tendency to grow in all sorts of weird and wonderful ways (with the exception of Blood Reishi, which has a more predictable vertical growth habit). You can help guide its growth by placing it near a light source, since reishi will grow towards the light.
Display Box Add On: You also have the option to add a clear display box (22x27x35cm) with a magnetic door to your order. It doubles as a terrarium, providing the high humidity needed for the reishi to thrive. Please note that display boxes need to be ordered separately.
Once your reishi has finished growing, you can choose to take it out of the display box to dry out naturally and keep as a display piece or harvest your reishi for use in teas and tinctures. If you're keen to grow a larger quantity of reishi, we recommend getting our ready-to-grow Reishi kits. These come as a standard grow block which are a larger size.

Upon arrival, skulls can be kept for up to 2 weeks in a cool location before they need to be set up as per the instructions.
Reishi Skull Kits each contain:

- a skull-shaped jar (H: 13cm and W: 10cm) filled with reishi mycelium grown on natural, vegan substrates
- a microporous filter bag
