Fungi are the world's greatest recyclers, without them the planet would be drowning in undecomposed organic material and deprived of the carbon-rich soil that supports life. Fungi not only help recycle the world's dead trees, logs and other organic matter, but we can put them to use in our homes and turn common household waste into delicious and healthy mushrooms!
Each kit contains:
- 1 packet of blue or pink oyster mushroom spawn (choose from the drop down menu)
- cotton wool
- detailed instructions

For best results, start this kit within 2 weeks of arrival. You can extend this to 1 month by refrigerating the blue oyster spawn. However, pink oyster spawn should not be refrigerated. Store it in a cool, dark place above 10°C for up to 1 month.
*this kit requires a 1-5L glass or plastic container with a lid and a clean spray bottle.

If you’d like to wait a little longer, keep it in a cool, dark spot or refrigerate it (applies to blue oyster ONLY - pink oyster cannot be refrigerated) for up to 1 month.Since our kits contain living mycelium, pre-ordering for Christmas ensures your gift arrives fresh and ready to grow. Christmas orders are specially made so they can be started up until mid-January.
