This kit contains one 2kg bag of sawdust spawn, which is suitable for an area of no more than 1 square meter for best results (bed depth should be around 6-8 inches). If you’d like to order more than two outdoor oyster kits to establish a large edible mushroom bed or multiple beds, please email us and we can offer discounted rates with reduced packaging.
This easy-to-use kit can be planted any time of year and will provide 1 to 3 seasonal crops of delicious oyster mushrooms. Instructions included.
This kit contains a colonised block that should be broken up and buried in the ground or planter. You can add additional growing medium such as straw, wood chips, sawdust or cardboard to increase the yield. Depending on when you plant your block, mushrooms can be harvested in 2- 6 months.

Preferred temperature for fruiting: 0-15℃. Prefers fruiting in cool weather, but is adaptable.

Phoenix oyster
Preferred temperature for fruiting: 18-28℃. A warm-weather mushroom, so can be planted in autumn but will lie dormant in winter and fruit in spring/summer.

Preferred temperature for fruiting: 15-28℃. A warm-weather mushroom, so can be planted in autumn but will lie dormant in winter and fruit in spring/summer.
