Outdoor Oyster (UK Native) Sawdust Spawn Kit

This outdoor oyster mushroom kit contains detailed instructions and a 1.9kg colonised mycelium block grown on natural, vegan growing medium made of sawdust, straw and organic grains. For this amount of sawdust spawn, we recommend inoculating an area of no more than 1 sq m for best results. Alternatively, this can simply be buried whole to grow mushrooms in a smaller space. 

Start within 2 weeks for best results* (this can be extended to 1 month if kept in a cool, dark place or in the fridge). 

*Please note: Christmas pre-orders are specially made to be started by mid-January.
 

Because this kit is grown outside of a controlled environment, there are many variables (including wildlife that love mushrooms just as much as you do!) These variables can contribute to the size and timing of your harvest. If you have any questions about the growing process please get in touch.

Storage
For the best results, start your kit within 2 weeks of receiving it.
If you’d like to wait a little longer, keep it in a cool, dark spot or refrigerate it for up to 1 month.
